WTO announces interim arrangements for e-commerce agreement
Yaounde, March 30 (Hibya) - The co-conveners of the World Trade Organization’s e-commerce negotiations, Australia, Japan, and Singapore, announced in a joint statement on Saturday in Yaounde, the capital of Cameroon, that interim arrangements for the E-Commerce Agreement have been established.

As part of the 14th WTO Ministerial Conference held on Saturday, 66 WTO members, including China, stated that these interim arrangements would provide a roadmap for the entry into force of the E-Commerce Agreement, while efforts to incorporate the agreement into the WTO’s legal framework would continue.
According to the joint statement, the E-Commerce Agreement will enter into force for the members that accept it after 45 members submit their instruments of acceptance.
