Schoof: We stand in solidarity with the Iranian people
Amsterdam, January 29 (Hibya) – Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof announced that he welcomes the European Union’s (EU) decision to place the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps on the list of terrorist organizations.
Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof made a statement regarding the decision that emerged from the EU Foreign Ministers’ meeting held in Brussels.
Speaking about the decision, Schoof said: “Today, good news came from Brussels: the EU agreed to place the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps on the terrorist list. The Netherlands has been fighting for this for years.”
Emphasizing that Europe has demonstrated an important stance with this decision, Schoof concluded his statement by saying: “Today, Europe is united to give a strong response to the bloody repression of peaceful protesters in Iran. We stand in solidarity with the Iranian people.”
