Araghchi and Dar meet
New York, September 24 (Hibya) - Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi in New York on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
In a statement, Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the meeting addressed bilateral relations and included an exchange of views on regional and international developments.
The statement noted that Dar emphasized “the importance of dialogue, diplomacy and sustained engagement in supporting regional peace and stability”.
The parties were reported to have agreed to “remain in close contact”.
