Spanish Prime Minister Sanchez made assessments on housing policy, work in Ceuta and the rise of the far right in Europe.

In a social media post, Sanchez said housing policy means guaranteeing that citizens can have a decent home.

Sanchez said housing policy does not mean buying a luxury penthouse for the head of an autonomous regional government, adding that the Spanish Government would continue its work by providing resources and creating a legal framework that delivers solutions.

Sanchez said the housing portal unveiled today is another step toward making decent housing a right for everyone, rather than a privilege for a small number of people.

Sanchez said they are working for Ceuta and on behalf of Ceuta, adding that they approach the crises they face with a sense of unity and institutional loyalty.

Sanchez also criticized the opposition for turning crises into opportunities and normalizing hate speech.

Referring to developments in Saxony, Sanchez said the situation there serves as a warning that the threat of the far right is gaining ground in Europe and around the world.

Sanchez said the situation also demonstrates the need for a progressive coalition government, noting that the government has been in office for eight years and aims to secure another four years in power next year.

Stating that every person living in Spain is a reason to keep moving forward, Sanchez shared the message: “We all have millions of reasons to keep moving forward. As many as the number of people living in Spain. Let's do it again.”
