Netanyahu visits IDF 5th Brigade training area
Jerusalem, May 8 (Hibya) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited a training exercise of the IDF 5th (reserve) Brigade at the Ground Forces Training Center in Tze'elim.
Prime Minister Netanyahu received a briefing from commanders about the training forces, recent operational training efforts in the Gaza Strip, and troop readiness ahead of an expanded assault.
The Prime Minister also spoke with brigade fighters and commanders and answered their questions.
In his speech, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said:
“I’m here at the Tze'elim Military Base to see firsthand the quality of our troops, our heroes, ahead of the intensive operation we are about to conduct in the Gaza Strip. I observed your training exercise, and you performed excellently. There are reservists here, and reserve commanders doing a tremendous job. We are determined to achieve two goals: to defeat and destroy the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement and, of course, to free our hostages.”
